2005 Tennessee State Championship Omnium

$11,500 in Total Prize Money – 4X TBRA PTS RR, 4X TBRA PTS CRIT, 2X TBRA PTS TT – 10X TBRA PTS Total

¶      Featuring a $2,200 Masters 30+/40+ purse in the road race and a $2,100 Pro 1,2 purse in the criterium ($4,600 total Pro 1,2 prize money for all events).

¶      State Champions in all categories will receive a custom designed state championship jersey at the annual TBRA banquet

TriStar Cycling Team, Juris, Inc., Bank of America and The Tennessee Bike Racing Association are pleased to announce that the 2005 Tennessee State Championship Omnium will be held September 17th and 18th in Williamson County, Tennessee.   The omnium includes the following events:

¶      The Juris/Bank of America Tennessee State Championship Road Race – Sept. 17th – Leipers Fork, TN

¶      The Natchez Trace Time Trial – Sept 17th (3:30pm – 8 miles) - Nashville, TN

¶      The Tennessee State Championship Criterium – Sept 18th – Brentwood, TN

All events are open to non-Tennessee residents; however, only Tennessee residents are eligible for the TN State Championship jersey for their respective category.

Very convenient lodging is available in Brentwood, TN which is right off I-65 within walking distance of restaurants and stores and only steps from the criterium start line.   The principal race hotel is the Mainstay Suites in Brentwood, TN.

Discounts are available for registering before September 15th.   And, pre-registered riders have the option of having race numbers mailed to them in advance provided we have received a signed standard athlete’s release form (available at www.usacycling.org).   Special tables will be set aside for pre-registered riders on race day so you can sign-in quickly, show your license, check your waiver and get to the line with minimal stress.   You can also pick up your race numbers/packets early at Juris, Inc. (see event site to see when they are available).

Early registration will be available at Juris, Inc. from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, September 16th.   However, same day registration fees will apply.  Juris, Inc. is located at 5106 Maryland Way, Brentwood, TN  37027-7501.  The telephone number is 615-377-3740 and you can email the promoter at tristar@juris.com.   The criterium course will be great for race viewing so encourage your friends and family to come out and watch, and we have a “kiddie” criterium after lunch for children < 10 years old.   The time trial will depart from the Loveless Café and MOAB bike shop so that will be a fun place to hang out as well.
