Meet at the Train Engine
(Take the left fork, the engine is just past the Museum)


We'll meet and register at 9:30.  For those who want to participate, the skills clinic starts around 10:00. Otherwise you can hit the trails.  We're working on getting Subway there to take orders for lunch.  I'll confirm the price and send you a reminder as soon as the manager gets back to me.   Or  . .you can bring lunch.  Our clinician will ride with the beginner/intermediate group in the morning and with the advanced group in the afternoon.     For a description of some of my favorite trails at Chief Logan, click here and scroll down:  http://www.wvmountainbike.com/id9.html

Chief Logan State Park is just 50 minutes south of Charleston.  Take Rt. 119 south from Charleston for approximately 58 miles.  Two miles past Chapmanville, look for the "Old Logan Road" exit (on the left).  Follow signs to Chief Logan State Park.  The Park is about six miles from the exit . . on the right.
The Lodge isn't open yet, but they have camping available.  Chief Logan has information about the campground and hotels in the area on this page:  http://www.chiefloganstatepark.com/camping.html

         --Make plans now to attend Tire on the Mountain -- our 4th annual mountain bike camp scheduled for September 8,9, & 10, 2006.  It will be at the Wyoming County Youth Camp with rides at Twin Falls State Park.
