HSSC MTB RACE PRESS RELEASE:

The Timber Crit  / Cabin Mtn Classic took place on Sunday August 6. A course consisting of steep climbs up ski slopes and double to single track trails that lead you through part of Dolly Sods.

With a dirt road (Salamander Ski Slope) to single track start the long day began.

After the race a post race pasta party was available to refuel the racers.

The HSSC WV MTB squad performed well to take home some podium finishes once again.

Steve Thaxton fought hard with close times in the Men’s Expert Vet. Class.  Steve took 5th place with a time of 2:14:03.

Lori Ware was there to represent the women and finished 3rd place in the Sport Women class.

Lori Ware 3rd place Sport Women (18-34)
